The simplified GIS, ELK for hybrid applications with ratings from 145 kV to 550 kV combines the advantages of encapsulated technology with the simplicity of air-insulated switchgear (AIS). Our hybrid technology delivers the essential switching and measuring components utilizing ABB’s well proven ELK technology that has been in service for close to five decades. It is the most reliable and economical solution for new installations or extensions, and retrofit of existing substations.
